The ACT Government is again offering Respite and Recovery Grants (the Grants) to support the wellbeing, resilience, and recovery of people with disability across the ACT community. If you are a person with disability, or a carer or family member, you can apply for funding to help relieve some of your challenges during the current ACT lockdown. Each Grant has a maximum value of $250 and can be used for supports such as:
- domestic help like a spring clean or garden maintenance
- food (either through delivery, dining in or as take away)
- support for starting or continuing an interest or hobby that contributes to a person’s wellbeing
- other supports that will provide a respite effect or assist with your recovery.
The ACT Government wants to reach as many people as possible, so if you received a Grant under this program in April, you are not eligible for this round of grant funding.
Applications open on Friday 10 September 2021 for three weeks, or when the Grant funding is exhausted, whichever comes first. Once you have completed your application please return it to ADACAS for an eligibility check and we will process your application.
For more information and to download the application form, visit the ACT Government website below from Friday 10 September.
