Supports and Respite Services


A large number of organisations provide wrap around supports for people with disability. People with disability may be able to use their NDIS funds to pay for these services. Depending on need, supports are offered in group settings, in the community or in your own home. Support workers are vetted and employed by the organisation, however you may not have continuity of care from the same support worker. Organisations include:

Life without Barriers offers person centred community-based support through the Community Assistance and Support Program (CASP) and Support Coordination Services for NDIS participants.

If you wish to have continuity of care from one support worker, you can connect with and employ your own support workers through online labour hire firms. The firms allow you to see support worker profiles and the services they offer. Support can be provided in a range of settings from in-home personal care to support out and about in the community:
