The National Home Doctor Service can arrange for a bulk billing doctor to provide urgent medical care in your home when your GP is closed. The service takes bookings from 6pm weekdays, 12 noon Saturday, and all day Sundays and public holidays.

HealthDirect Nurse

If you have a health issue and you do not know who to contact, you can speak with a HealthDirect registered nurse over the phone. The nurse will help you to know where to go and what to do. HealthDirect is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

CALMS

The Canberra After Hours Locum Medical Service operates at three locations across Canberra. Clinics operate on week nights 8pm – 11pm and on weekends and Public Holidays 10am-11pm. CALMS operates a phone triage and appointment system on weeknights from 6pm until 8:30am and a 24 hour triage service on weekends and public holidays.
