Alcohol and Drug Service hotline

The 24 hour hotline provides information and advice on managing people who may have alcohol and other drug issues, and gives support to people affected by alcohol and drug use.

Sobering up Shelter

The Sobering up Shelter provides overnight support, care and monitoring for people over the age of 18 recovering from alcohol and drug intoxication. The shelter is open every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night from 11pm to 11am, with last admission at 6am. The service also provides individualised education, support and support services.

Directions

Directions Health Services provide specialist treatment services and support to people and their families who are impacted by alcohol, drugs and other addictions. Services include residential and day care programmes, health services, counselling, case management and peer support groups.

Narcotics Anonymous

Narcotics Anonymous facilitate Australia wide online and face to face meetings, message boards and recovery chat rooms to support recovering addicts.

Cracks in the Ice

Cracks in the Ice is an online toolkit supporting all Australians impacted by crystal methamphetamine (ice) with evidence-based information and resources useful for communities, health workers, schools, families and friends of people using ice and people who use ice. The website includes factsheets, information on how to start a conversation about ice use, when and where to get help, treatment options, and what to expect in the withdrawal, treatment & recovery processes. Cracks in the Ice has also developed resources in consultation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders.
